This is a bit of what a professional can do better than a beginner. Can I promote my website faster with PBNs? PBNs, i.e. private blog networks, are private link networks that you can build yourself or that other people build for you. Where you have complete control over all links and they are harder to recognize than publicly available link networks, for example marketplaces or something like that, where you can buy links. The advantage is that you can definitely achieve good rankings with it. It's always just a question of how long. Link networks are banned by Google.
Google doesn't want you to use link networks and sooner or later they usually come across Special Data such a link network, find the whole thing and then penalize your own website. This means that you will be pushed further back in the rankings than you were before. And that's why you shouldn't use a private blog network for websites that are close to your heart in the long term, but rather for websites where you can forego the loss of good rankings. Where you say: Okay, then I'll build the next new website. Are PBNs a bad strategy? As I said, it just depends on what strategy I pursue. Perhaps with employees, and set up something really sustainable, then I would definitely not use PBNs.
But if you say you're an affiliate and you want to make money in the short term with a relatively small website and then it goes over the Jordan because Google discovered it, then it's not that bad. Then there is actually nothing wrong with PBNs. Well, Google says: Of course it's not nice! But that's clear. But you should then look at what kind of strategy you are using. But, if you want to earn money sustainably with your website, then it's best to stay away from PBNs, because they are simply not suitable for a serious website that needs to rank well in the long term.
